Joslin Diabetes Center’s “A Taste of Ginger” event

More than 300 supporters and foodies turned out to Joslin Diabetes Center’s 14th annual A Taste of Ginger benefit at the Museum of Fine Arts on Monday, April 9th.

Guests enjoyed cuisine from Boston’s top chefs including Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery and Myers + Chang, Tracy Chang of Pagu, Jasper White of Summer Shack, Dave Becker of Sweet Basil, Jimmy Liang of JP Fuji Group and the evening’s honoree, Brian Moy of Shojo, BLR by Shojo and Ruckus.]

The event, emceed by NBC 10 Boston’s Kristy Lee, raised more than $215,000 for Joslin’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative.

Notable attendees included Dr. Peter S. Amenta, President and CEO of Joslin Diabetes Center, Rokuchiro Michii, Consul General of Japan in Boston, Monica Valdes Lupi, Executive Director of the Boston Public Health Commission, and Matt Krebs, Executive Director of the Japan Society of Boston, among others.
