Community Relations

It is a well-held tenet of business today that there is a substantial “halo effect” enjoyed by companies that “do well by doing good.” Many companies and organizations recognize that it’s not enough to serve only their customers or members, but the larger community as well. By effectively publicizing these initiatives, the roads of altruism and business objectives intersect in a unique and powerful way.

A prime example of our work in this area is with Bank of America. Regan has helped publicize Bank of America’s summer Baseball Clinic series, partnering with Major League Baseball teams across the country and local youth organizations to provide kids with the opportunity to meet, and get baseball tips and life lessons from, baseball legends. We’ve also worked with Bank of America and Habitat for Humanity on a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the need for housing in America, partnering with several major sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA and NASCAR. Finally, we’ve done media outreach around the Bank’s corporate philanthropy efforts in education, getting press for their annual summer internship program and their “Big Yellow School Bus” program, which helps schools in need take their students on field trips they otherwise would not be able to afford.

Another example is our work on behalf of New Balance and their sponsorship of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, in which Regan has established an annual media tour with Miss USA where she visits Boston media to highlight New Balance’s “Lace Up for the Cure” programs.

We also planned and publicized the American Institute of Archeology’s 130th anniversary international event in New York honoring Harrison Ford. The black tie gala took place at iconic event space - and Regan client - Capitale in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Regan secured celebrities for the red carpet, including contestants from Top Chef and Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel. Publicity included press coverage in the New York market and archeological articles about the achievements and milestones that the AIA has achieved in its 130 years.

Regan has experience working on behalf of agencies whose mission is good works, including the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA).

From generating coverage in major print and broadcast media, to developing and executing “grass-roots” campaigns for coverage in local publications, Regan helps build and enhance our clients’ reputations as good corporate citizens.
