B.J. Finnell joined Quinn and Hary in the summer of 2014, after serving four years as General Manager of our Boston Headquarters. In that role, B.J. provided strategic direction and operational assistance to the company’s public relations, advertising and marketing teams in Boston, Providence, Cape Cod, Connecticut, New York City and Florida. He oversaw unprecedented growth in the company, leading the efforts to acquire Quinn & Hary and Alchemy Communications of Jupiter, Florida, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Before joining Regan Communications, B.J. spent three decades as an Emmy and Associated Press award winning broadcast journalist, working for Cap Cities Communications, CBS, NBC, Raycom Media and Global Broadcasting in Connecticut, Philadelphia, New York City, Providence and Cleveland. His on-air work includes news anchoring on WCBS Newsradio in New York City, and play by play duties for UConn basketball and football on the Connecticut Radio Network.
B.J.’s specialties include crisis communications, community outreach, transportation projects and public procurement bidding. His most recent proposal writing and mobilization work assisted Keolis Group of Paris, France in securing a $4 billion contract to operate the commuter rail system for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority.
His return to Southeastern Connecticut is a homecoming for B.J., who began his broadcasting career as morning drive news anchor for WSUB (now WXLM) and Q105 Radio in Groton after his graduation from the University of Connecticut.
